Turbo is used to boost engine horsepower without significantly increasing its weight. It compresses the air flow into the engine to exert more air into a cylinder. More air leads to increase in fuel and power. To achieve energy boost, turbocharger uses the exhaust flow from the engine to spin a turbine, which in turn spins an air pump.
