Nissan Sentra Transmission
Nissan Sentra comes with 5-speed manual overdrive transmission with clutch interlock
and 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission with shift interlock. All Sentras
for 1995 are powered by a 1.6-liter 16-valve DOHC 4-cylinder engine that produces
115 hp. 5-speed manual transmission is standard with optional 4-speed automatic.
For 2001, GXE models use standard automatic transmission with optional 15-inch
wheels and tires. XE and SE come with variable timing DOHC, five-speed manual
transmission, and 126 horsepower. The new CA is equipped with a responsive four-speed
automatic transmission.
2004 Sentra Sentra comes with fresh changes in transmission. Changes start with
1.8 and step-up 1.8 S models, both with a 126-hp 1.8-liter 4-cyl engine and a
choice between 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic. The 2.5 S and
SE-R use a 165-hp 2.5-liter 4 cylinder and can only function with automatic transmission.
SE-R Spec V has a 175-hp 2.5 and comes only with a 6-speed manual.
