1997 Nissan Sentra
Time moves fast that's why man has to go along with it or else he'll be left
stucked in one corner. Luckily, man was able to invent something such as cars
to be able to go with the flow. However nowadays, car prices have been soaring
to unimaginable level but thanks to the company that produced the powerful yet
affordable Nissan Sentra.
For 1997, Sentra comes with roomy interiors, greater handling, faster acceleration,
good braking performance and reduced engine and road noise. Its exteriors are
not flashy but it reflects the subtle power of the car that can only be tested
upon putting the car in action. Its high rear deck lid, low hood line and steep
windshield slip through the wind with a low coefficient drag of 0.33 which helps
to improve fuel efficiency and minimize wind noise.
Four trim levels are available: the basic Sentra, XE, GXE and GLE. GXE and GLE
come with lower body side sill extensions that give a sportier look. Standard
for all is the 115-horsepower 1.6-liter dual overhead-cam 16-valve four-cylinder
engine. The engine produces an impressive EPA fuel economy rating of 40 mpg on
the highway and 30 mpg on the city when paired with the standard five-speed manual
gearbox.
The car functions well at increased speed even in slippery and steep locations.
Its independent strut front suspension with anti-roll bar strengthens the driver's
sense of control. Nissan's multi-link beam-axle rear suspension provides more
room for passengers and cargoes. It also allowed eliminates long, wasteful front
and rear overhangs giving the car the sporty and classic look combined into one.
